"I've decided to make enjoyable activities and games to show the kids what important hygiene and germs are all about. Once this was completed, finding a mentor was my next go-to. Through the help of the school nurse, I approached and successfully gained Mrs.Debora Wirth as my mentor. She has proven to be a dependable, kind woman who I am blessed to have found. Our first meet is approaching and I will be going in with well-thought ideas that I hope to receive her opinion on. I am somewhat nervous for not only her advice, but then applying what we edit and prepare to the kids."
Journal Entry #2: Fieldwork: First 8 Hours
"Despite the minimal times that I have met, each experience there has been a great one. This project has taught and locked in my decision to work with kids in the medical field. It has kept me driven with my goals in ALP, but also in regards to nursing school and high school itself."
Journal Entry #4: Fieldwork Hours Part 2 "Once the kids were finished with this, I had them draw their favorite foods, their name and I gave them a sticker with different foods on it. They really enjoyed this lesson and were more than just familiar on what foods we should and shouldn't be eating. It was also impressive to see them identify so many of the foods in the pictures. "
